Hello everyone. Hope you all are having a great weekend so far.
Since I've started this blog, I have experienced so much inspiration from you all and thanks be to God, my creativity has awakened. I'm finally working on projects that I've been talking and thinking about for what seems like forever.
In the spirit of "just doing it" I say goodbye to procrastination, and hello to The Elephant Ball, a children's picture book that I wrote some years ago. As part of my portfolio, I'm giving myself certain projects and book covers are a part of my self-exploration as a children's artist and illustrator.
You'll probably see some spreads for the book later on as I continue this journey down my creative path.
So, may I introduce to you, ladies and gentlemen, The Elephant Ball.

I really love the character's faces, and their energetic posees..(love the couple rockin' in the background)..wonderfully done. I am happy to hear about your newfound energy re: those old projects that get stuffed away..I feel new energy too..this thing is contagious! Ha!

now this is what I'm talking about! You nailed this one to the wall. this is so well done Cheryl. You have brought your reader in with the picture and all the wonderful movement. You have two very delightful characters here and they want to tell us the story. It's prefect my dear. I have to go back and look at it again. This is great work gurl!
